Captain Lehman Salutes the Troops

On the assumption that everyone will be taking Labor Day off and celebrating the waning days of summer, there will be no column appearing this week. However, I’d like to thank all who participate in “Next Line, Please” whether by composing lines or poems, by commenting on others’ work, or simply by reading what we’ve written as a group or individually. This is a wonderful community that we have formed organically. It has grown and developed real momentum since we started in May 2014. Not the least of the virtues of NLP is that, in an era marked by bad behavior and intemperate outbursts, we are snark-free and continue to be a model of what civil discourse can and should be. Captain Lehman signing off until next week.
