From the American Library in Paris, writer Thomas Chatterton Williams talks with other Parisians, both American and not, about the ideas that enliven French society and the joys and tribulations of everyday life in the City of Light. This month, his guest is Jordan Mintzer, a movie critic for The Hollywood Reporter and film producer for director Matthew Porterfield. Tune in on the first Thursday of every month to meet journalists, writers, artists, activists, and the occasional boulevardier.

This episode was recorded in a cow pasture in Brittany and produced by Padmini Parthasarathy. Logo designed by Stephanie Bastek. Our theme music is “Clowns” by Dee Yan Key.

Permission required for reprinting, reproducing, or other uses.

Thomas Chatterton Williams is the author of a memoir, Losing My Cool: Love, Literature, and a Black Man’s Escape from the Crowd. He lives in Paris with his wife and daughter.
