Caio Fernando Abreu

Caio Fernando Abreu was one of the most influential Brazilian writers of the 1970s and ’80s. His stories, many of which gave voice to aspects of gay culture in Brazil, were often censored by the country’s military dictatorship. He died of AIDS in 1996. This story will appear in the collection Moldy Strawberries, which will be published in the fall.
