Clarence Major is the author of 11 novels, 16 collections of poetry, two volumes of short stories, and 10 works of nonfiction. He has contributed to The New Yorker, The Harvard Review, The American Poetry Review, and The New York Times, among other publications. His poetry was selected for inclusion in the 2019 edition of The Best American Poetry. He is also a painter.
