Charles Wright is the author of several collections of poetry, including Chickamauga, which won the 1996 Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize, and Scar Tissue (2007), which was the international winner for the Griffin Poetry Prize. He is Souder Family Professor of English at the University of Virginia.
