Meryle Secrest is the author of numerous biographies about figures in the arts. She received the Presidential National Humanities Medal at the White House in 2006. Her latest book is The Mysterious Affair at Olivetti: IBM, the CIA, and the Cold War Conspiracy to Shut Down Production of the World’s First Desktop Computer.
