Nathan Glazer , who has taught at UC Berkeley and Harvard University, is editor of the editor of the defunct policy journal The Public Interest, and formerly a frequent contributor to The New Republic. He is known for his writings on ethnicity and race, such as “Beyond the Melting Pot,” co-written with Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
