Richard Wertime is Emeritus Professor of English at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. Fiction writer, literary critic, and a former senior editor of Archaeology Magazine, he is best known for Citadel on the Mountain: A Memoir of Father and Son (Farrar, Straus & Giroux), the 2001 recipient of the James A. Michener Memorial Prize.
