Notes from a Montana ranch
The novelist and short-story writer Larry Woiwode, whose 1975 book Beyond the Bedroom Wall was one of the most acclaimed works of fiction of the era, died recently in North Dakota. In our Summer 2019 issue, Woiwode remembered his development as a writer—and how he ultimately came to find his voice.
