Thomas Mallon is a contributing editor of the Scholar and the author of 11 novels, including Henry and Clara, Fellow Travelers, and Watergate. His nonfiction books have explored diaries, letters, plagiarism, and the John F. Kennedy assassination. A frequent contributor to The New Yorker, he received the Harold D. Vursell Memorial Award for distinguished prose style from the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2011.
